We are offering this sharp piece as we're in the process of downsizing from a generous 3800 square foot home to roughly 1500 feet and just can't keep everything. TRULY wouldn't be parting with it otherwise : ) . It features outstanding Art Nouveau style book ends with a warm bronze wash and handsome spread eagles hi-lighted in original polychrome paint - the back of each end is marked 9929 . The exterior rods appear to be brass and the ends appear to be finely cast spelter  . In excellent - well cared for vintage condition this measures 8 1/2"  closed and expands up to 14" open - the ends measure approx. 6 1/4" wide by 4 1/4" high . It's free from breaks, cracks, detracting paint loss, repairs or restorations with wonderful original mellow patina .
