Manning Memorial Park in Ripton, Vermont on 18 July 1946.  The 2-stanza, 8-line poem, "1946," was contributed by the American Poet ROBERT FROST (1874-1963) who spent his summers in a Cabin on a farm he owned in Ripton, Vermont while he taught at the nearby Middlebury College Bread Loaf School of English and Writers' Conference.  The poem was later collected by Robert Frost in his tenth book of poetry, STEEPLE BUSH, in 1947, with two added stanzas under the title "The Courage to Be New."  Very Fine, Like New Limited Edition Copy of a beautifully printed and illustrated Broadside with the First Appearance of a New Poem by Robert Frost.  This Broadside was privately printed in a limited edition and distributed only to those people who attended the dedication ceremonies, and no copies were for public sale.  Thus, this Broadside is very scarce and an extremely rare Crane "A" item.
