Essays on Bakst by Louis Reau, Denis Roche, V. Svietlov and A. Tessier, copyright 1927 Bretanos.  This is no. 369 of 600 copies.  There were originally 30 listed plates. Two are missing "Old Man in Yellow" and Paganini".  That leaves 23 full page colored plates and one tipped in color illustration, smaller, in the front.  Most of the plates are handcolored.  Leo Bakst was a Russian Painter, Scene and Costume Designer.  The covers are detached but solid with alot of wear from use and age with the spine uncovered.  The covers have staining as well.  The pages show wear from normal use and age.  The plates would be wonderful framed and there are some unlisted tipped iin illustrations and lined drawings aw well.  Please add $6.75 S&H book rate and insurance in U.S. Place a Bid!
