Description
VOGUE MAGAZINE. FEBRUARY 15, 1927. A FORECAST OF SPRING FASHIONS. Wonderful cover art, a zebra striped unicorn carries a lovely lady in a red and black riding habit, was created by GEORGE WOLFE PLANK (1883-1965). He was a self-taught artist and illustrator who contributed to Conde Nast from 1911-1927. This is from a collection of wonderful Vogues that were found in the cedar lined basement cupboards of a very big, beautiful old home. Most had been put away without being read. I sold most of the collection in previous years and just discovered the few I had set aside to keep for myself. Time to share! This one was read and has very light signs of reading wear. The covers are in very nice condition with some light edge wear. The cover has a light fold about 2 inches from the spine. Not quite a crease. Inside pages are also very clean. There is a slight musty smell if you put your nose close. 144 pages. About 9-3/4 x 12-3/4.
