This is the HUGE original 1948 Goodyear Catalog of Industrial Rubber Products, with 104 numbered pages. In addition to hundreds of other Goodyear products, this catalog features the following asbestos products: Style HD Asbestos Cord Steam Pressing Iron “APPLICATIONS: For steam pressing iron service in clothing manufacturing plants, tailor shops, etc. FEATURES: Horizontal braided. Braid of first quality asbestos cords that maintains strength at high temperatures-does not weaken with flexing. Cotton cover will not soil, discolor nor injure garments. Made in long continuous lengths. FITTINGS: Insert type couplings.”; Goodyearite Asbestos Style 104 “APPLICATIONS: Used for cutting into gaskets, washers, or packing strips that are used for extremely high temperature, high pressure joints of all types on pipe lines, pumps, compressors, steam and internal combustion engines. Recommended for the very highest super-heated steam pressure. FEATURES: The best grade of packing available. Highest resistance to heat. Will not burn, blow or squeeze out. Resists the action of hydrochloric, nitric, sulphuric and acetic acids, ammonia, caustic soda, bleaching and cyanide solutions, calcium bisulphate, alum, borax, glycerine, soap, soda ash, gas, blue vitriol, sodium sulphide, salsoda, fats, gasolines and oils.
