This is the HUGE original 1961 Goodyear Catalog of Industrial Rubber Products, with 136 numbered pages. In addition to hundreds of other Goodyear products, this catalog features the following asbestos products: Goodyearite Asbestos Style 104 “APPLICATIONS: For cutting into gaskets, washers, or packing strips that are used for extremely high-temperature, high-pressure joints of all types on pipelines, pumps, compressors, steam and internal combustion engines. Recommended for temperatures as high as 600º F. at 400 PSI. FEATURES: A premium grade of compressed asbestos. High heat resistance-designed to resist blow-out or squeeze out. Has been used successfully in service involving hydrochloric, nitric, sulphuric and acetic acids, ammonia, caustic soda, bleaching and cyanide solutions, calcium bisulphate, alum, borax, glycerine, soap, soda ash, blue vitriol, sodium sulphide, sal soda, fats, gasolines and oils. Approved under Navy Specification Mil A-17472 and ASTM P-1 61-A. CONSTRUCTION: A homogeneous sheet made principally of asbestos and high-grade rubber binder. It is the best, long-fiber crushed-rock asbestos available. The binder, which consists of materials with high heat resistance, is extremely pliable and strong. SIZES: Gauges from 1/64” to 1/8”. Stocked in 36” x 144” sheets, or cut from sheets 120” x 144” by special order with a minimum weight of 400 lbs.
