Bound in original plain black boards this is the correct first issue.Later states had purple boards.A nice solid and clean example with minimal wear to the covers.Internally the book has the correct info to the copyright page of published 1962 with no other prints mentioned.Generally a nice clean example throughout with the odd age spot.Small owner name to ffep and a small scuff to inner board. The dustjacket is the original first issue jacket designed by Barry Trengrove and is again a rare find.Oversized jacket flaps as should be with the first issue and correctly priced at 16s net.A good and generally clean example with a tear to the rear and a split to the front flap fold.Chipped head and tail of spine with a small piece missing from the bottom right and a split.Although a little worn this is still a bright example of the original first issue jacket.
