[translates to 1850]   1st Thus    WITH A FRONTISPIECE [WOOD ENGRAVING] BY   GEORGE CRUIKSHANK      Condition of Book:     Outer Boards:  Period tan, half-calf with marbled paper boards & dark maroon leather title label to spine with five raised bands decorated in gold gilt. The boards are very strong. A well made book, there is a fair bit of scuffing and scratching in general with a small crack in a couple of places at the spine margin, but the book remains solidly firmly bound.       Inner Boards & Pages: Inner board at the endpages front and back are grey coloured.  The margin has cracked front and rear but the page block is firmly held within. These are unevenly soiled and the first and last few pages have foxing.  The inner pages are for the majority very clean apart from the odd fox spot. The story has 291 pages and all are tightly bound.     Overall, a fairly good condition for such a collectable book by Mr. Charles Dickens.
