(More Info On MP3 CDs Below) The Belgariad: Read By Cameron Beierle Book 1: Pawn Of Prophecy (10 Hours) Long ago, so the Storyteller claimed, the evil God Torak sought dominion and drove men and Gods to war. But Belgarath the Sorcerer led men to reclaim the Orb that protected men of the West. so long as it lay at Riva, the prophecy went, men would be safe. But that was only a story, and Garion did not believe in magic dooms, even though the dark man without a shadow had haunted him for years. Brought up on a quiet farm by his Aunt Pol, how could he know that the Apostate planned to wake dread Torak, or that he would be led on a quest of unparalleled magic and danger by those he loved - but did not know? For a while, his dreams of innocence were safe, untroubled by knowledge of his strange heritage. For a little while... Book 2: Queen Of Sorcery (12 Hours) Legends told how the evil God Torak had coveted the power of the Orb of Aldur, until defeated in a final battle. But prophecy spoke of a time when he would awake and again seek dominance over all the world. Now the Orb had been stolen by a priest of Torak, and that time was at hand. The master Sorcerer Belgarath and his daughter Polgara the arch-Sorceress were on the trail of the Orb, seeking to regain it before the final disaster. And with them went Garion, a simple farm boy only months before, but now the focus of the struggle. He had never believed in sorcery and wanted no part of it. Yet with every league they traveled, the power grew in him, forcing him to acts of wizardry he could not accept. Book 3: Magicians Gambit (11 Hours) Ce'Nedra, Imperial Princess of Tolnedra, was confused. Everyone knew that the tales of the Orb that protected the West from the evil God Torak were just silly legends. But there she was, forced to join a serious and dangerous quest to recover that stolen Orb. No one believed in sorcery. yet Garion's aunt and grandfather seemed to be the fabled sorcerers Polgara and Belgarath, who would have to be thousands of years old. Even young Garion was learning to do things that could only be sorcery. Garion! He was nothing but a farm boy, totally unsuitable for an Imperial Princess. Then why did she have such an urge to teach him, to brush back his tangled hair, and to comfort him? Now he was going to a strange tower in the center of all he believed evil, to face some horrible, powerful magician. And she wouldn't be there to watch over him. He might be killed! She'd never see him again... Book 4: Castle Of Wizardry (14 Hours) It had all begun with the theft of the Orb that had so long protected the West from the evil God Torak. Before that, Garion had been a simple farm boy. Afterward, he discovered that his aunt was really the Sorceress Polgara and his grandfather was Belgarath, the Eternal Man. then, on the long quest to recover the Orb, Garion found to his dismay that he, too, was a sorcerer. Now, at last, the Orb was regained and the quest was nearing its end. Of course, the questors still had to escape from this crumbling enemy fortress and flee across a desert filled with Murgo soldiers searching for them, while Grolim Hierarchs strove to destroy them with dark magic. Then, somehow, they must manage to be in Riva with the Orb by Erastide. After that, however, Garion was sure that his part in these great events would be finished. But the Prophecy still held future surprises for Garion - and for the little princess Ce'Nedra! Book 5: Enchanters End Game (13 Hours) The quest was over. The Orb of Aldur was restored. And once again, with the crowning of Garion, there was a descendant of Riva Iron-Grip to rule as Overlord of the West. But the Prophecy was unfulfilled. In the East, the evil God Torak was about to awaken and seek dominion. Somehow, Garion had to face the God, to kill or be killed. One the outcome of hat dread duel rested the destiny of the world. Now, accompanied by his grandfather, the ancient sorcerer Belgarath, Garion headed toward the City of Endless Night, where Torak awaited him. To the south, his fiancée, the Princess Ce'Nedra, led the armies of the West in a desperate effort to divert the forces of Torak's followers from the man she loved. The Prophecy drove Garion on. But it gave no answer to the question that haunted him: How does a man kill an immortal God? The Malloreon: Read By Cameron Beierle Book 1: Guardians Of The West (16 Hours) Garion has slain the evil God Torak and been crowned King of Riva. The Prophecy has been fulfilled--or so it seems. While the strange child Errand was growing up in the Vale of Aldur with Polgara and Durnick, showing only occasional flashes of inexplicable knowledge and power, Garion is learning to rule and be a husband to his fiery little Queen, Ce'Nedra. Book 2: King Of The Murgos (16 Hours) The infant son of Garion and Ce'Nedra had been foully kidnapped. And thus, they begin the great quest to rescue the child, with the immortal Belgarath the Sorcerer, his daughter Polgara the Sorceress, and inevitably the little Drasnian, Silk. Guided by the Orb of the god Aldur, their way leads through the foul swamps of Nyissa, then into the lands of the Murgos where they must face a horrible danger to not only themselves, but to all of mankind. For the Dark Prophesy had not vanished when Garion slew the evil god Torak. Instead, it had fled to Zandramas, who planned to use the child in a rite that would insure that Dark would triumph over Light. Thus continues the epic quest, across new Lands and among strange peoples. Book 3: Demon Lord Of Karanda (15 Hours) Zandramas stole King Garion's infant son and fled, planning to use the child in a ritual that would make the Dark Destiny supreme, Garion and his friends followed, but now they were captives of Zakath, Emperor of Mallorea. Meanwhile, a horde of demons was ravaging the cities through which, if they can escape, they must travel, giving Landramas the much needed time to reach her goal. For, the Seeress of Kell had said that if Zandramas should reach the ancient palace of Ashaba before them, that she would win by default. Can Garion and his companions escape the stubborn emperor, avoid the demons, and break through the city of Mal Zeth where a fatal plague has closed it to all traffic in or out? Can they reach the ancient palace in the next few days? Or will Garion's son be lost to him, and the world ruled by the Dark Destiny? Book 4: Sorceress Of Darshiva (14 Hours) As the bestselling THE Mallorean series continues, Garion is pursuing Zandramas, in the form of a great dragon flying over them, across the known world. With the forces of evil threatening on both sides, Garion still had to get to the Place Which Is No More, as the Seeress of Kell had warned, but they had no idea where that might be.... Book 5: The Seeress Of Kell (14 Hours) Time was running out for Garion and his companions in their quest to recover Garion's infant son and heir. If they could not locate the Place Which Is No More, then Zandramas, the Child of Dark, would use Garion's son in a rite that would raise the Dark Prophecy to eternal dominion over the universe! Only the Seeress of Kell could reveal the site of that mysterious place--and that she could do only once Garion and Polgara had fulfilled an ancient prophecy in the mountain fastness of the Seers . . . Kell itself was closed to Zandramas--but her dark magic could force the knowledge she needed from one of Garion's party. She laid her traps and dispatched her foul minions, determined to claim the world for the Dark God. But Garion would let nothing stand between him and his son . . . Here is the epochal conclusion to David Eddings' bestselling The Malloreon, the culmination of an unparalleled quest across strange lands and among strange peoples--a magnificent fantasy of men, Kings, Sorcerers, and Gods caught up in the seven-thousand-year war between two ancient, opposing Destinies battling to determine the fate of all creation. Belgarath & Polgara: Read By Roy Avers ''Prequals'' To The Belgariad & Malloreon Series Book 1: Belgarath The Sorcerer Length: 27 Hours Set in the same universe as the Eddings' The Belgariad and The Malloreon, it is effectively one big flashback (or a prequel) to the other series, although the framework story is set after the events of The Malloreon. The book opens shortly after the end of The Malloreon with Belgarion pestering Belgarath to write an autobiographical account of the events prior to The Belgariad. The core of the book is in the form of Belgarath's memoirs starting with his becoming an outcast from his village and becoming first disciple of the god Aldur and ending with the birth of Belgario - a span of about seven thousand years. Book 2: Polgara The Sorceress Length: 29 Hours Set in the same universe as the Eddings' The Belgariad and The Malloreon, it is effectively one big flashback (or a prequel) to the other series, although the framework story is set after the events of The Malloreon. Like the similiarily gigantic Belgarath, this is basically the three thousand year history of Eddings' world told from the point of view of the woman who wound up guarding the line of Rivan kings for about a thousand years or so. Polgara is an engaging narrator and even though she's going events that we know a lot about already, her perspective is both different from the omniscient narrator of the series and Belgarath's from the other book.
