Description
This catalogue, produced in conjunction with a 1963 exhibition which appeared at the Guggenheim Museum, New York, as well as at the Art Institute of Chicago, is an excellent vintage resource on the work of Francis Bacon. It includes an essay by Lawrence Alloway, biographical notes on the artist, fascinating documentary photographs, a list of the 64 works shown, as well as illustrations of each (15 in color). The 80-page softcover volume measures 11 x 8½ inches. The cover shows significant wear and discoloration, including a tear at the top of the spine, but the interior pages are fresh and in very good condition. As only 3,000 copies of the catalogue were printed, it is quite rare. Powered by eBay Turbo ListerThe free listing tool. List your items fast and easy and manage your active items.
