Description London (Jonathan Cape) 1959.  Unique piece.  As new and signed Ian Fleming First Edition.  The seventh James Bond novel is presented in the original dust jacket (in pristine condition) by Richard Chopping and painted in the trompe I'oeil style.  Fleming's signature is in blue ink on the first page opposite the front flap.  The original black cloth-patterned paper is over boards.  The front cover has a skeleton's head stamped with the skeleton's eyes embossed in gold.  The spine is stamped and lettered in gold with the Cape logo at the foot.  The multicolored dust jacket is as new, and indicates 15s.net on the inside front flap.  An article about Ian Fleming's death and his obituary from the Daily Telegraph Reporter are included inside the back cover.  This item has been in storage since its purchase from  J Stephan Lawrence, a Chicago area Antiquarian book dealer in 1974.  Its pristine condition makes it a must-have for a serious collector.  Arrangements can be made with principal or representative to examine this one of a kind piece in the Chicago area.
