Volume 103 of the Harvard Law Review is Barack Obama's first published work. Volume 103 contains 8 individually bound, numbered books, including number 5, March of 1990, which was the first issue when Barack was president of the editorial board. The last four bound, numbered issues (nos. 5-8) were produced during the editorial presidency of Barack Obama and are contained in this volume (the issues of March, April, May, and June of 1990). A great article from Politico has an excellent history of Obama's tenure at the Harvard Law Review. The volumes are in very good condition - they are ex-library copies with very minimal library markings - only a card catalog pocket in the back of each volume from a Chicago library, which could perhaps be removed without much or any damage to the issues. There is a library stamp (and minor abrasion) on the front cover of number 7 (May 1990). The front of issue 8 and back of issue 1 have a small indentation at the top and bottom of the cover where the volume appears to have been bound with some kind of packing material at one time. Below are scans of the spines, the editorial board page, issue number 1, and all of the issues (5-8) when Barack Obama was the president of the editorial board.
