Very slight restoration to head of spine, very lightly rubbed. Superb binding. Internally, no loose pages, marble endpaper, previous owners bookplate, inscribed by previous owner on blank endpaper, catalogue cutting tacked to endpaper, some light intermittent staining. Pages and illustrations in very good condition. A very attractive copy. The drawings of the plates were made by Phillippe, duc d' Orleans under the tutelage of Antoine coypel in 1714. This copy does not have the additionalplate 'Les petits pieds' , which was not issued by the comte de Caylus until 1728. Book measures 10x15.5cm.
