Right on the top shelf next to PLAYBOY. Then the late 80s and early 90s came along and they went under plastic. And not to much later they dissapeared forever. Here is a mixed lot of 13 different types of pulp mags as followed.   Official Detective January 1984 Front Page Detective March 1983 Headquarters Detective March 1984 Startling Detective Yearbook for 1984 (coffee stain)** Headquartes Detective January 1984 (binding is folded over)** Detective Files May 1985 True Detective May 1983 Detective Cases April 1983 Official Detective Oct 1991 Front Page Detective April 1984 Official Deective May 1984 Inside Detective May 1984 Inside Detective November 1991 The condition of these are actually very good. There is no ripped out pages or markings. The covers show minimal wear to the edging. I listed points on 2 i needed to point out. The coffee stain (which i did that recently) affects the coffe slightly if you look for it. And runs through the first 20 or so pages. The other mag has been folded over where it was read.
