No dustjacket was issued  36 pages with original end papers 12 of which are colour plates, 1 being a double page illustration immediately identified by all Wain fans - The School room, the front & back board are also highly / richly illustrated to make total illustrations - 14. The front board is very bright, no fading or loss of colour. NO scribblings either, however there are 'bits' missing from the paper covering the boards and the cloth spine has, for the most part, faded to a rosy pink. The book needs to be restrung - a £30 job - ask your local Second hand book shop for info. This does not mean the book is totally sibound, just loose with a few pages away from the sring. Internally there is some wear to edges and marginal tears on a few pages and some browning to edges of pages themselves. The most important thing is that the illustrations are fab, wonderful and are brilliantly anthropomorphic. I have 13 photos but only 2 on EBAY - Please EMAIL me for the full set of 13 and enjoy! All measure 13.8" High x 10" Wide, so a large Wain book with beautiful colouring. There is a low reserve on this item, to protect myself but hopefully I have priced this to sell.
