In 1986 Milan and I were among the Duesseldorf artists with subsidized studios in an old  factory building on the Rhein.  We often met coming and going and I would visit his studio from time to time for a cup of tea and a look at his paintings. He drew this picture of me on the flyleaf of this catalog one day.  I remember sitting among his bright crayon-colored paintings while he drew wondering if my face would end up on an octopus or a fish, but he was kind to my vanity and let me stay human.
