Description
This is a huge lot, about 8 big boxes, of National Geographic magazines, including almost every issue from 1920 through 1948. See list below. For 25 years I helped my brother collect these and now due to lack of storage space it is time for them to go. (As many collectors will know- a lot of the fun in collecting is the satisfaction from finding the object, and we certainly have had that. ) The picture shows some representative years, left to right, top to bottom: 1920, 1921, 1938 (1st 6 mos in binder) and 1945. I can send additional pictures if you write and send your e-mail address but there is no way I am going to send a picture of each year. Local people can come see them beforehand by appointment if so desired. This is PICK UP ONLY!!!!!!! The location is Verona NJ, about 20 miles from New York City, just 5 minutes from Route 280 and 15 minutes from Route 80. Note- the map supplements that come with these magazines are not included. There is just one other pull out that we have noticed missing. I have not gone thru each issue page by page and do not intend to do so (but you are welcome to come and do so yourself) so there may be a few pages missing but over 99% are all there. Pre 1920- some assorted earlier issues but they are not in good condition. 1920- complete 1921- missing Feb, Mar, Apr, June, July. The back cover of September is loose. 1922 missing March. The end spine of the magazines are in shabby condition 1923 complete but 2 have the covers missing 1925 and 1926- complete 1927 missing May 1928 thru 35- complete 1936 thru 43- complete, these are in leather like binders, but are not bound- they can be removed from the binders. 1944 and 1945- complete 1946 missing the 1st 6 issues of the year 1947 and 1948- complete Non item specific details: I accept US POSTAL MONEY ORDERS ONLY upon pickup (or beforehand) Pickup must be within 10 days after the auction ends, unless you will be mailing me a complete purchase price money order to hold your purchase longer. I have a flexible schedule and am available for you to pickup days or evenings. Due to some dishonest buyers I now quickly post negative feedback if payment is not received by the 10 day due date. If necessary I do send payment reminder notes in an attempt to avoid to giving negative feedback. I provide the buyer feedback after I am sure there are no open issues.
