Please Note I Will Consider All Reasonable Offers For This TitlePRINTS FROM THE MOURLOT PRESS 1 of 2000 Copies on Arches with 18 Original Lithographs PRINTS FROM THE MOURLOT PRESS; Limited to 2000 copies on Arches wove with one Original Lithograph by Picasso in black ink (Bloch 1846; G.&C.128; Mourlot 400, Bloch 1142), One Lithograph in colors after a drawing by Picasso, one Original Lithograph by Chagall (Mourlot 415; Sorlier 87; Cramer 60), One Original Lithograph by Miro (Cramer 91; Mourlot 332-333), one Lithograph after a goauche by Braque, one Original Lithograph by Matisse (Duthuit 91), One Original Lithograph by Calder and additional Original Lithographs by Beaudin, Esteve, Guiramand, Florsheim, Giacometti, Cathelin, Brasilier, Brianchon, Cocteau, Minaux, Jenkins, Kito, and Manessier. A s stated by S. Dillon Ripley, the Secretary of the Smithsonian Institute, "Fernand Mourlot has long been the acknowledged master printer of France in every field, from lithographs to fine books to posters. The unfailing quality of his work commands the respect of museums, collectors, and most important of all, the artists themselves. Every product of his workshop bears the mark of Mourlot’s discipline and craft and can truly be called an ideal collaboration between artist and artisan...” There are 18 ORIGINAL LITHOGRAPHS in Total all printed single sided, one per page on heavy wove Arches. Limited to 2000 copies; Paris: Mourlot Press, 1964; The interior is in Fine condition with all lithographs in Fine condition, perfectly clean and bright throughout with a perfect binding. There is slight foxing around the outer edges of the front cover but the Chagall Lithograph remains clean and bright. The back cover which is blank has some foxing and a very small stain at corner. the spine is clean and perfect. This example contains the ORIGINAL Picasso Lithograph The Painter and his Model II (Bloch 1846; G.&C.128; Mourlot 400, Bloch 1142) which commands a full two pages in Cramer's "The Illustrated Books" the Raisionne of the Original work which Picasso created for books. This Picasso Lithograph on its own has a gallery value of between $1500-$2000. There are examples of this title listed for over $3,000. The book is housed in a hardcover box which is not original to the publication but will be included. Shipping: All titles are handled with the utmost care.
