It's  fifty-plus years of  world history, a myriad of cultures, discoverys, leaders , not to mention geography and  the world most renouned  photography plus the highly descriptive, often lyrical  prose that National Geographic is known for. Pick up any issue, any year and you can't put it down.  It's a wonderful resource for students or anyone who loves to read or browse.  Three indexes are included. The first is gold  leaf, indexed 1888 -1988, combined with maps in a folder; the second  hard cover index covers 1947 - 1983. The last indexes are the magazine supplements that came with the magazine, from 1950ies through 1970.Almost all magazines are in "like new' condition. A few show some wear one or two have minor water damage.  I have not done a map inventory, but I believe that over 80% of the original maps are included.The shipping cost is a rough estimate.  I won't know the final shipping cost until the volumes are boxed. Buyer will pay actual  mailing and shipping costs and no more. If there are mailing cost overages, they will  be immediately refunded via Paypal.  I estimate that the collection will require eleven (11) boxes, 10"x14"x8", each weighing approx 23 lbs or a total of 258 lbs. (It's a lot of magazines!!)   Media mail is slow but is the most cost effective method. I calculated the cost of one box mailed from Tampa to Buffalo = $10.28 x 11 boxes = $135.30 & cost of boxes = $146.00  (Parcel post would be twice that amount.) If you need to know exactly which issues are  missing, I will gladly email you a list.   The photo does not show the entire collection.
