SHEPARD of WINNIE-THE POOH Fame.  These are the two stories that Disney eventually made into his now Classic movie with Julie Andrews as the Magical Nanny!!         I'm convinced that Travers never meant for Mary Poppins to do any more than "Come Back" after she lifted off into the East with her umbrella in the original 1934 Book, and that these two were to be the total story.    But, popular acclaim of this totally endearing tale led to the WW II sequel "...Opens the Door" and the last of the regular titles, "...in the Park" in 1952.   That Pair, in their Dust jackets & First Printings, are also available if you are interested...Just ask for images!    But it is the two 1930's originals that form the basic tale everyone knows!  They are Nearly perfect together!! Both books are in Excellent Condition, no heavy wear, just a bit of edge fading on the cover of the second book, done in the unusual matching blue cloth as well --most were done in green! -- so this pair is quite likely Unique!!  Interiors are Complete with No Marks or Damage --NOT EVEN A NAME.
