Each refillable journal is constructed from custom tanned cowhide and paired with a decorative pewter button cast in the Oberon shop.  A black leather strap knotted in the back wraps around the button for secure closure.  These incredibly detailed deep-emboss journals last a lifetime and the leather covers only get better with age, as they develop a beautiful shiny patina from contact with human hands.  Plus, they smell wonderful! The La Virgin de Guadalupe journal features a pewter button with a moon-in-sun motif. The two inside covers (not pictured) of each journal are lined with black leather 4"-deep pockets to hold the covers of the journal insert in place. They're also handy for storing a few small pieces of paper or some extra cash. The company name, "Oberon Design," is tooled into the top of the inside back cover.  An insert with suggested care methods for your journal is included. The La Virgin de Guadalupe design, in RED features an amazingly detailed rendition of the Mexican religious symbol in a rectangular frame on the front. Truly Beautiful!  The back of the journal is textured leather.  Size: 6" x 9" (Large).  Designed to hold one 5.5" x 8.5" book (included - description below).
