Below is Oscar Wilde's Happy Prince and Other Tales. Book: The Happy Prince and Other Tales, Oscar Wilde and Charles Robinson. First edition thus of this collection of stories with the illustrations by Charles Robinson. Also limited, signed edition, one of 260 copies only, exceedingly rare due to the small quantity released.  Publisher: Duckworth and Company, London, 1913. Later binding incorporating the original gilt vignette of the Happy Prince, and retaining the original spine. Superbly illustrated with 12 beautiful tipped-in color plates under tissued. The text is printed on high quality heavy weight slightly glossy and very smooth paper. Decorated end papers. Many black and white drawings throughout. The book with gilt upper edge, other edges deliberately left rough-cut, or uncut. Profusely illustrated and decorated. Book condition: Externally, as NR FINE as possible. Tight and square binding. Internally, VERY NR FINE.  The free end papers and pastedowns browned as is typical, and transferred, by appearance due to a dustwrapper, with slight staining at edges. The tissue over the frontis with light folds, another tissue with light folds. Otherwise, a fine copy, no marks or any issues of note. No bookplates or inscriptions. Text very slightly uniformly yellowed with age, which is not detracting, - the book is much brighter than the photographs below, and please note, all pages are uniform in colour unlike our photographs, no tears or repairs, the contents are in excellent condition, very bright and clean. Photographs do not do justice. All of the superb chromolithographic quality plates in fine condition without creases.
