DJ shows signs of age / handling; sunning to DJ spinestrip. $18.95. 4. 5001 NIGHTS AT THE MOVIES, Expanded for the '90s with 800 New Reviews -- PAULINE KAEL. An Owl Book -- A William Abrahams Book -- HENRY HOLT and COMPANY, New York. SOFTCOVER.  States: "First Owl Book Edition -- 1985" Contains complete print line: 1 3 5 7 9 10 8 6 4 2 [first printing of the First Owl Book Edition]. EXTERIOR: signs of age / handling / shelfwear; crease on back cover, rubbing @ spine head/tail and extremities/edges; light tattering @ upper spine; relatively minor light soiling to text block edges...I'll say, in general, the exterior is in fair+ condition. Book is solidly bound... pages are great!  Quintessential movie reference by one of the all-time great movie critics!  I paid: $22.50. 5. THE MOVIE QUOTE BOOK, Harry Haun, Lippincott & Crowell - New York. Copyright 1980. States: FIRST EDITION. Complete print line = 1st Printing. This is a hardback book with 415 pages of classic movie quotes. Dark blue cloth-covered boards w/silver lettering on spinestrip. (book was later re-printed in paperback edition). INTERIOR of book is Very Good. EXTERIOR of book is FAIR: i.e., shows age / handling / shelfwear, including some rubbing @ edges, corners, spine head/tail; a small-ish light stain and several scratches to back board. STILL a nice, heavy vintage book to add to the Film/Movie section of one's library.  I had purchased this brand-new at Tattered Cover Book Store, Denver...don't remember what I paid (long ago, I threw away the DJ)...probably around $20-$25.00. 6. LILLIAN HELLMAN, Her Legend and Her Legacy, by Carl Rollyson; St. Martin's Press, New York. (Throwing this one in...she was a playwright...close enough.) "Lillian Hellman, the most daring and original playwright of her generation, authored three volumes of highly acclaimed memoirs; but it is what she chose to leave out of her life or invent that makes her a continuing enigma. Carl Rollyson finally shows us the real Hellman in this in-depth literary and critical biography." This is an ex-library book, w/card pocket @ back and the typical stamps & signs associated w/library books. Book and DJ are in overall Good+ condition;DJ protected by library's cello protector. Some little indentations/rubbings to front of cello. Little stain @ top of front cover...can't tell if it's inside or outside protective cello. Dust Jacket not price-clipped: $24.95.
