Each page in this fat notebook binder is encased in a sheet/page protector. I have tried to show you a variety of pages. Being an experienced cook and collector of hundreds of cookbooks, I can say this woman was a real cook; this book is extremely well written. Her recipes are clear, precise and easy to follow. There are hundreds of recipes of a great variety including biscuits, cream puffs, tarts, do-nuts, muffins, breads, buns, cakes, frostings, candy, cookies, meats and meat dishes, vegetable dishes, Mexican food, pickles, relishes, pies, soups, salads, dressings and even a category for "this and that". Cookbook is fully indexed and contains 166 pages. LOVE and great care was taken in the compilation of this book because she dedicates it to her daughters. The title page is inscribed (hand written), "Kay: To my Dear long time Friend -Dee The author's husband in the dedication writes: "This cook book was compiled by Dee Swearengin. It includes those recipes she has found to be most successful after some sixty years of cooking. The recipes were collected from many sources, some of which are identified. Some are original. The title comes from the comment of our son Alva who, when he was very young, described anyone whose meal he enjoyed as being a "good cooker". Having enjoyed many years of Dee's "good cooking" in our home, I can happily attest to the quality of the product. My waistline is evidence of the years in which I have indulged myself of her "good cooking." Cookbook measures approximately 11 x 11-1/2 x 3 inches and weighs 7 pounds. Pristine condition.
