The medals are of a Styrachosaurus, Diplodocus, Deinonychus, Pteranodon, Stegosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex. The obverse of the medals feature images of the dinosaurs as they were when alive. The reverse feature images of their fossilized skeletons. The sculptor is Don Everhart who sculpted the 1997 Bill Clinton official presidential inaugural medal, and who won first prize for his "Dance of the Dolphins" medal at the 1985 National Sculpture Society Annual Exhibition. There were only about 200 of these sets produced and none are available from the issuer. The medals are oblong, bronze, varied in their rectangular shapes, and roughly average 3” by 3” in size (4” at greatest length) and 3/8” thick at the base where they are engraved: “The Society of Medalists, 128th issue, 1994.” Case is 1 ¼” x 7 ½” x 14”. Total weight of the set in its case is somewhat less than 7 pounds. Medals and case are in mint condition.
