Description Scarlet Street Magazine, Lot - Numbers 1 Through 41!   If you’re a fan of Scarlet Street, “the magazine of Mystery and Horror”, then, boy, are you in luck!  I’m clearing off my bookshelves as I prepare to move, and my stack of magazines has got to go.  You’ll be bidding on issues 1 through 41 inclusive.   I’m not a collector, but I do know that the various fancy terms for the condition of periodicals are pretty subjective.  So I’ll just tell you in my own words that all the magazines are in good shape.  I read them cover to cover once and maybe referred back to a few articles on occasion, but for the most part they have been sitting on my bookshelf, out of the sun (so you can be sure the colors of the covers are still as vibrant as ever).   The covers have all retained their gloss, are intact, and firmly stapled to the spines.  There’s a little wear along the spines and some dog-ears at the corners.  I will let the photos speak for themselves, but if you’d like a better view I will send you the full size photo file upon request.   The interiors are in equally good shape EXCEPT for issue #6, where I cut the subscription order form out of the book.  I have included a close up photo so you can see the damage for yourself.  On the plus side, the post card that the publishers sent, offering the very first chance to subscribe to Scarlet Street, is inside issue #1; the card is a pretty rare piece of SS history.   The magazines are all poly bagged, well packed, and ready to be shipped to you.  If you’re a fan of Sherlock Holmes, classic horror movies, comic book heroes, or just have a thing for the pop culture of the 1990s, then Scarlet Street is for you.  Good luck!
