Description
Firestarter byStephen KingPhantasia Press1980Signed, Limited Edition725 Copies One of the reasons this book is so highly collectible and greatly sought after by Stephen King fans (and book collectors in general), is that it is the first signed, limited edition of a Stephen King title. A second reason is that it is limited to only 725 copies. Please look at the pictures carefully. The book itself is in very good condition, but the dust jacket is in poor condition, with a strip missing from the bottom of the back, and a tear above the missing segment that wraps around the binding, but doesn't continue on the front. The front of the dust jacket also has a smaller missing segment in the upper-right. On the plus side, most of the damage is to the back of the dust jacket. This book sells on collectible book sites and bookstores, for between $1,250.00 and $2,500.00. I'm listing this one for significantly less, due to the condition of the dust jacket. This is number 281 of 725.On Sep-02-08 at 08:24:13 PDT, seller added the following information: Firestarter by Stephen King Phantasia Press 1980 Signed, Limited Edition 725 Copies One of the reasons this book is so highly collectible and greatly sought after by Stephen King fans (and book collectors in general), is that it is the first signed, limited edition of a Stephen King title. A second reason is that it is limited to only 725 copies. Lastly, it marks the beginning of the relationship between Stephen King and Michael Whelan (cover art for this book), which led to the great work that Whelan did for King’s The Dark Tower Series (Books I & VII). Please look at the pictures carefully. The book itself is in very good condition, with a nice tight binding, clean sharp edges and corners, no bumping, rubbing, scratches, scuffs, etc. The inside of the book has only one minor flaw to the bottom of the front end board and end paper (less than half an inch--pictured), but the dust jacket is in poor condition, with a strip missing from the bottom of the back, and a tear above the missing segment that wraps around the binding, but doesn't continue on the front.
