VINTAGE PAIR OF BOOKENDS IN A CLASSIC AMERICAN INDIAN / NATIVE AMERICAN STYLE. BEAUTIFUL BRONZED PIECES ~ ~ HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE AMERICANA ~ ~ ~ This would make a fantastic gift ~ or stocking stuffer ~ for the very soon to be here Holiday / Christmas season. At his side is a powerfully built dog. Both bookends are styled the same. Well cast with strong detailing, especially so in the face and hair.These are very handsome and have a very strong and powerful presence about them, evoking the Old West. They hold their own in a bookcase, and even more so displayed as an ART OBJECT by themselves. If you are a collector of bookends, Americana, Western decorative objects you won't be disappointed with this pairAll metal with a bronzed finish. I'm not sure of the metallic composition, whether it is solid bronze. It is non-magnetic. What I believe are cast lines are evident.Bottom has cardboard covering over a large rectangular shaped openingApproximate size, 6 1/2" tall x 5 1/8" deep x 4 1/4" across.I can find no stampings or markings of any kind on the pieces. CONDITION: They appear to me to be in near perfect condition. I'm not sure what specifically to look for, but a visual examination reveals no cracks, chips or losses that i can see.
